These gentlemen will now take positions as "captains" of teams.Biggest upset of the tournament was done by new comer Fitzroy Chan who defected District Champion "Rick Pascascio".Gilbert Parham new blood to the game also has demonstrated in his play the qualification of ranking in captain category.Chris Sanchez, proved the Champion that he is being undefeated in the 5 rounds Swiss System used in the tournament.Chris is also the ranking second in Belize's 12 years old category.Melvin played consistently and carefully maintaining his present captain position .

These players will now be representing Holy Angels School in upcoming chess tournaments.They will be representing Holy Angels at the upcoming "Chess Olympiad" to be held in Belmopan City.

This tournament was made possible through the kind contribution of Mr. Raul Avila and the Citrus Products of Belize Ltd. Creating diffrences in the lives of our youth and encouraging them to be constructive citizens of Belize. "THANKS" must also be expressed to the principal of Holy Angels School Mr. Kenrick Francisco , who had embraced and supported the "Chess Club" as it was presented to him .Additionally , "THANKS" must be expressed to Mrs. Deborah Chun who was our Technician Tournament Director ,Mr. Emil Montero and Ms. Michelle Chun who were both our Tournament Floor Directors and the Stann Creek Chess Association for providing the technical support and equipment for a succesful tournament.
